The youth, under the direction of Jane Alligood, traveled to Atlanta, Georgia the week of June 8-13,  2003 to do missionary work. They had a wonderful time and met new friends from all over the united states, Canada and several foreign countries.  During the four days of the International Christian Youth Fellowship Mission each of the youth and adults had a chance to spend at least one day participating in the church revitalization projects.

Several in the group served at Shiloh where they completed covering the church in vinyl siding, built a portico, provided landscaping assistance, painted a mural in the nursery and prepared a brick foundation for a new sign.  Several of the youth also worked at a Hispanic church in Forest Hills.  The majority of the work accomplished at this church was painting and sealing the basement walls.

During the days the youth were not on the job sites, they had the opportunity to attend classes on biblical storytelling, contemporary Christian music and drama, and numerous other instructional sessions.  After dinner each night, entertainment was provided by several well known contemporary Christian groups. Evening worship services provided different styles of preaching and inspirational ministers.

The trip was not all work.  The group had an opportunity to visit Coco Cola World on Tuesday afternoon, visit a laser light show at Stone Mountain on Tuesday night and tour Six Flags over Georgia on Wednesday.
